eternity
did you know that you are an ETERNAL person?
you are going to live forever.
not in this life of course, we all know that the body we are currently residing in will eventually die.
i am refering to the person that you are inside; your soul.
when the body dies, our soul will go to one of two places. either into the PRESENCE of god in heaven or away from the presence of god in hell.
that destination will be decided in this life. there is no second chances.
the DETERMINING factor is your sin. it is a debt that must be paid to god.
will you have jesus take care of your sin debt to god, or will you pay for it yourself?
if you turn away from your sin (repent) and toward jesus christ, who has already paid for it, then you will spend eternity with god in heaven.
whoever believes in the son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the son will not see life, for god's wrath remains on them. john 3:36
If you pay for your sin yourself, you will spend eternity SEPARATED from god in hell.
for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of god is eternal life in christ jesus our lord. romans 6:23
repent then, and turn to jesus so that your sins may be wiped out. Acts 3:19
we are all on a path in this life. we are all busy. we are all concentrating on our goals and aspirations. all of these concerns are earthly.
i would like inspire you to spend more time thinking of eternal thngs.
so we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. since what is seen in temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:18.
are you becoming successful at things that don't matter? that have no eternal value?
you do realize that all of your ACCOMPLISHMENTS stay here when you die, right?
but you can send them ahead of you.
jesus told us not to store up treasures for ourselves on earth where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. matthew 6:19-21.
consider the path of life you are on.
where is it leading you?
what is at the end of that path?
i can tell you that at the end of all of our paths, at the end of our life, there is a gate.
enter through the narrow gate. for wide is the gate and broad is the path that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. but small is the gate and narrow the path that leads to life and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14
SO, HOW ARE YOU USING YOUR TIME?
THE BIBLE URGES US TO "NUMBER OUR DAYS" PSALM 90:12.
IN OTHER WORDS, THINK ABOUT HOW PRECIOUS LITTLE TIME WE REALLY HAVE IN THIS LIFE AND WHAT ARE WE DOING WITH IT.
NOBODY KNOWS EXACTLY HOW LONG WE HAVE TO LIVE. FOR SOME IT MIGHT BE YEARS. FOR OTHERS, MONTHS OR DAYS, OR EVEN TOMORROW.
YOU DO HAVE TODAY THOUGH. YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW. I TELL YOU, NOW IS THE TIME OF GOD'S FAVOR, TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION. 2 CORINTHIANS 6:2.
i pray that you will be one of the few.
that will enter through the narrow gate.
come to jesus.
allow him to pay for your sins.
there is no sin to big that god can not forgive you for.
get on the narrow path to eternal life!
seek the lord and live. Amos 5:6.
