with god, it is all about the heart. we can have all the INTELLECT in the world but it is what is in the heart that interests god.
the bible describes the true condition of the human heart and it is not a pretty picture.
the heart is deceitful and DESPERATELY wicked. JEREMIAH 17:9.
on the surface we can fool others...we can even fool OURSELVES but we can not fool god.
what a man THINKINGS in his heart, so he is. proverbs 23:7.
all this information on this website is useless unless it travels the from your head to your heart. only there will it have an everlasting effect on you.
the bible says that if you profess with your mouth that jesus is lord and believe in your heart that god raised him from the dead, then you will be saved. Romans 10:9-10.
once you have done this, you must protect your heart. It is a vulnerable place and is open to doubt and deception. above all else, guard your heart for everything you do flows from it. proverbs 4:23.
get in the bible, the word of god. there you will strengthen and purify your heart as you grow closer to god. the deceitful voices in this world will fade away as you learn the truth. you will DISCOVER that over time your desires and god's desires will become more and more aligned.
delight yourself in the lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. psalm 37:4.
who may assend the mountain of the lord? who may stand in his holy place? the one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. they will receive blessing from the lord and vindication from god their savior. psalm 24:3-5.
i will praise you with an upright heart as i learn your righteous laws. psalm 119:7.
as we grow in a closer relationship with god, we will discover that he is faithful. he is trustworthy in all aspects of our life.
trust in the lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. proverbs 3:5-6.
our heart is the gateway to our soul.
human beings are the only species on earth that have a soul.
there is alot of talk these days about climate change brought on by the burning of fossil fuels and how we must do something to “save the planet”
there is also mass deforestation, and strip mining.
we can not save the whales, or the turtles, or the baby polar bears, or the planet.
god never designed this planet to last forever.
it is a temporary place for humans to live while those that will come to jesus christ as their lord and savior pass through.
this is not our permanent home.
mankind can not save nor destroy the planet.
god is the one who created it, and he is the one that will one day destroy it.
all these natural resources were created by god to be used by mankind.
in the book of revelation, it tells us that then god will create a new heaven and a new earth where those who accept jesus as their lord and savior for the forgiveness of sins will dwell with god forever.
all the progress that has happened throughout history that has been made possible by fossel fuels has been primarily for the spreading of the saving grace and the forgiveness of sins offered by jesus christ over the whole world.
cars, airplanes, plastics, radio, television, internet..every aspect of life has been made possible because of this.
the planet is now heating up from the burning of these fuels.
the atmosphere is full of these greenhouse gases.
we are using up natural resources faster than nature can replenish them.
this is called “Ecological overshoot”
the climates around the world are changing.
there are more heat waves, droughts, floods, massive forest fires, etc.
oceans are rising.
we are in what the bible calls “the last days.”
the whole world is in distress. and this is just the beginning.
this will cause mass famines, mass migrations, mass panic. loss of hope.
troubling times are on the way.
but there is no need to panic. no need to be in distress and loose hope.
place your hope in jesus. turn to him for the forgiveness of sins.
forcus on the only thing you can save…your soul.
human beings are the only species on earth that after death move on to eternity.
eternity is one of two places; in heaven with god, or in hell SEPARATED from god.
the lord jesus is the only one that can save our soul and prepare us for an eternity with him in heaven.
he said do not let your hearts be troubled and that he is coming back for us in john 14:1-4 and revelation 22:12-13
we need to shift our focus off of this world which is passing away and on to jesus.
what good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” matthew 16:26
nothing in this world is more valuable than our souls. let us DILIGENTLY guard it no matter what the cost!
let us love him, and obey him!
jesus replied, “love the lord your god with all of your heart and with all of your soul and with all of your mind.” matthew 22:37
what should our response be to all of this?
let us turn to jesus and WHOLEHEARTEDLY Praise the Lord!!
